BIOEF is committed to the promotion of innovation and research in the Basque Health System as a continuous way of developing and improving the general health quality of Basque population. BIOEF carries out its task through two Institutes: OIKER and OBERRI. OIKER, Instituto Vasco de Investigaciones Sanitarias / Basque Institute for Health Research coordinates the clinical investigators based in public or private hospitals and primary care clinics as a consequence of a signed agreement in between the Basque Health Public Body (Osakidetza) and BIOEF. Investigators possess a wide range of experience in different thematic areas. OIKER is the link in between clinical investigators, universities and biotechnology companies.
